How to Overcome Fears: Know the 3 Deadly Fear Factors

Major Fears and 3 Fear Factors

Napoleon Hill talked about fears.
I think he had been talking about fears over one hundred years.
One of the most deadly enemies that stop people from living fully is fear.
Whether you are conscious or unaware of fear, that is what is stopping many people from success.
Maybe you are stopped, too.  Aside from the major fears, there are 3 deadly fear factors that paralyze people living their lives fully.

Let’s learn to overcome fears.    So that fear is not costly.
You need not to sit on the sideline.
When you sit on the side line, you don’t do anything.   Weeks go by.  Months go by.

That’s not where you want to be… if you want to achieve a happy, abundant life.
These 3 factors reveal the mechanism of fear ripping your life apart.

The six major fears Hill talked about were:

  • The Fear of Poverty
  • The Fear of Ill Health
  • The Fear of Criticisms
  • The Fear of Loss of Someone You love
  • The Fear of Old Age
  • The Fear of Death

Hill also explained Seven Symptoms of Fears.

Today I’d like to pin point the THREE factors
that have you stopping from doing the things that you really should do.

Sometimes you pretend you don’t know.  You are unaware.  Or you don’t care.

These 3 factors of fear grip you.  Tear you apart.
You will learn how the virus of fear spread and affect your life
and deteriorate the reality of the situation.

Fear is just a feeling or a state of mind.

[1] Fear of Fear

Simply fearful of being afraid.
So you keep working at the job you hate.  For the boss you don’t like.   You just keep working putting up.   Because you believe that there is no other option.    You feel you are incapable of making changes.

Because you are afraid of what?  You are afraid of failing.  If you did something different, you would fail.

You are afraid of displeasing your family and friends.  You are afraid of judged and criticized.   You are simply guessing others’ opinions that may be directed at you.   These are like fears of  criticism and judgment.  Fears curve out negative persistent patterns in your daily life.

 [2] Doubt

Doubt stops more dreams than failure ever will.
Doubt anticipates failure.   Doubt manufactures many illogical reasons why the thing before you is bad idea.    Your doubting mind gives you a false impression that you are experienced and smart understanding  your situation.

You don’t trust the source of the information you are getting.   You’d rather continue to doubt and be skeptical.  That is a human nature.
What doubt covers up is your latent fear of failing.

[3] Fear of Unknown

You just lack courage.
You just don’t want to try out anything different and new.

You are not open-minded.

Let’s dispel all these blocks you have.

Fight to change,
Fight to go through
and get what we want in life.

People are generally very fearful creatures…

Fear is a normal emotion, but to allow it to drive all your life choices is so incredibly limiting.
In fact, many people are completely fear based.  Even though they often are not aware about being fearful.

 …it goes on and on.

The day you stop making (or not making) choices based on fear, is the day your life takes a new turn for the better.

Learn to self-analyze your thoughts… understand WHY you’re making the choices you make….

…then kick your fear in the teeth, take ownership of your life’s direction… and notice how quickly things begin to change.

Today is a good day to start…. Isn’t it?

Exercise To Dispel the Fear Factors:

{If you are in a dangerous situation where your physical and emotional safety is threatened or life  is in danger, you must seek an appropriate assistance immediately.}

(1) Go for a long walk in nature or sit in a comfortable, quiet and safe  place.

(2) Think of yourself on one side of a river where you feel you are stuck.

(3) Create a bridge between where you are now and the other side of this shore.

(4) As you begin to cross over this bridge, notice excuses, negative thoughts, bad memories,  self-sabotaging voices  and self-doubts that come up.    Don’t ignore all these thoughts and voices.

(5) Live through and experience for a few minutes.  Notice your body sensations and experiences.  Write down what you discover.

(6) Say the following affirmations or quotes to yourself;

“I forgive myself for my past; I did my best knowing what I knew then.
I am a new person now. My past does not define who I am.
I am willing to learn lessons of life and become the new person who I really want to be.”
~Yukiko Iino

“Perhaps we shall learn, as we pass through this age, that the ‘other self’ is more powerful than the physical self we see when we look into a mirror.”
~Napoleon Hill

Now you are transitioning into a new realm. Your mind is beginning to step in. The Universal Principles will come to ‘rescue’ you. Principles above personality…

“Fear is a false expectation becoming real.
Practice to use your fear to have courage.
When fear strikes, don’t Forget Everything and Run;
Use your fears to Face Everything And Rise”
~Popular Slogans

When you learn to know who you are and love who you are, fears diminish.

No more fears about stepping up in your life.

Or have fears and go through what you have to go through anyway.

Blogger’s Reflection:

It appears many people have given up their power and spend more than 40 hours a week working at their jobs they don’t enjoy or like; spend additional 10 -20 hours commuting.  These jobs often don’t bring adequate financial reward they deserve and unlike in the past, offer no job security any more.

Napoleon Hill wrote, “The Fear of Poverty is without doubt the most destructive of the Six Basic fears.”

Have you noticed your internal fire slowly diminishing?

  • Have you checked up on your character assets lately?
  • ambition
  • charming personality
  • caring and loving feeling
  • concentration of effort
  • enthusiasm
  • hope
  • imagination
  • initiative
  • mental clarity
  • purpose and meaning
  • promptness
  • persistence and consistency
  • Self –reliance

Tens of thousands of people have found their way to time and money freedom in the age of the Internet.    When you can have a handle on your financial life, other fears can be handled more easily.
