Best Social Media Tools for Network Online Marketer’s Success

Best Social Media Tools for Network Online Marketers Success

Converging of Network (MLM) Marketing and Internet Marketing:

Network Marketing business is still very young.  It wasn’t till the landmark FTC vs. Amway decision in 1979 that a judge ruled that its multilevel marketing opportunity was a legitimate business opportunity.

As the people’s lifestyle has drastically changed, so were the means of effective communication.

For a long time now the MLM leaders had to admit that their key strategies were failing.  Telephone soliciting (probably always was very painful thing to do) is almost ineffective.  And 3 Ways calls with your upline, a new prospect and you almost never took place.  Less and less distributors (not to mention guests) showed up at Hotel meetings.

Internet marketing is even much younger. This form of online marketing based on promotion and marketing efforts through the use of the Web and email to gain sales leads, driving “direct sales via electronic commerce.

Many beginning entrepreneurs struggle to get leads.  These are potential sales contact and you as a marketer need to get your prospects’ Email addresses.  Your static website alone will not compete to drive visitors to your website and make sales.  The use of social media has increasingly become necessary.

Still Figuring Out with Social Media:

Some forum of online hub existed starting 1970’s.  But 2007 launching of Facebook , Twitter and Google+ began to attract millions of unique visitors and as of June 2014 according to DigitalTrends, got as many as 540 million active users per month.

Many Internet Market leaders are still learning to incorporate social media into their businesses.  Most of 7 digit earners don’t use all the social media tools available.  Rather they pick various tools based on their preference.  You should learn to incorporate one step at a time.   The following 7 Steps in each  section of Social Media Activation; Blogging and Videos on YouTube only touch the surface but give a strong foundation to build your business.

A]  Social Media Activation:

1. Open up your own accounts with Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Google Plus, Stumbler and Twitter. (Be honest and transparent.  Put a nice profile photo of yourself.  Give relevant background info.)

2. Share your lifestyle, family, your interests, fun activities.  You want to show who you are and how you are living and what kind of a person you are.

3. Business related… your results  and small wins are great.  Leverage other team member’s results.  (If you are in a Mastermind group, this is permitted.)

4. Learn, Do & Share and Teach.  (Plug into training offered.  As you learn, implement and begin to teach others.)  Share these on Social Media.  A quick way to establish your authority.

5. Leverage other’s articles, information or experience.  Curate and be sure to cite the source and give credit to the author.  You will be appreciated.

6. Let’s not forget the principle of attraction marketing. 80% of your posting should be about providing value; about fun, useful, building trust and less than 20%  should bee about sales links and about your business directly.

7. NO SPAMMING

B]  Blogging:

1. So what is exactly blogging and how can I get started?

Read my short blog post on this topic in “Blogging for Network Marketing Success Part 1.

2. Commit to blog regularly.  Ideally daily but if this is not feasible for you, set up what is possible at least a few times a week.  But never “sometimes.”  You can also set aside a couple of hours and write a few articles for the week.

3. How do I begin to blog?
Refer to my earlier blog for details, 10 Tips for the Right Mindset:

Open-mindedness; Knowing your Why’s; Knowing your Business: knowing yourself; Focus and Concentrate; Know your target Market; Know people’s problems that you what to solve; Solutions; Your own love and passion

4.  What to write about?  Here is one of my earlier Vlog post  talking about “18 Writing Ideas or Styles” in Blogging for Network Marketing Success Part 2 [18 Writing Ideas]

5. Just as I mention in the Video section, follow the 80-20% Rule;

Sharing values, rich contents, lifestyle, fun things, trend such as the trend and 20% business related.  Don’t just SPAM… Be sure to include a CALL TO ACTION in every single post.
Maybe not on an important holiday…

6. Share your blog post.  (Ideal to write daily if not be consistent and decide how often to write.  I do my best to write daily.)  Or you are a member of our Mastermind group’s and code it to your ID.  If someone joins from what you post, you get a credit.

7.  What blog site to chose.  If you are very competent and  savvy on the computer and  technology, perhaps you can do it all by yourself.  Get a hosting server and download a WordPress and set up your own blog site.
(The word of caution is Not to be consumed and spend weeks and months to set up your site.)

Many thousands of people belong to the largest ‘for profit blogging community’.    This system is an automated done-for you WordPress based blog site.  They were able to start blogging without many technical issues and many of them are earning incomes that have met their financial goals.

C]  Videos on YouTube:

(YouTube video created in conjunction with your blog post will be effective as you can embed the video will drive traffic to your blog.)

1. Think of a topic and research on GOOGLE to find a long tail keyword. Your goal is to avoid excessive competitions and get ranked high on Google.

Example: Your main topic is Dog Training… there are 16,200,200 articles.
So it’s too general and too competitive.
Put in something more specific to get away from very competitive phrases.
If you just say, “Train Dogs Not to Jump.”  The competition is  very high.
By using keyword tools and other resources, you can find something like “5 Ways to Teach Your dog to Greet Visitor Calmly.”
(Reduced to about 186,000 competitors.)

2. You should talk about what you are passionate about and what you already know well.
Write an outline and practice a few times.  Some people just talk spontaneously.

In the beginning you should not concern yourself with a top professional quality.  Don’t
concern yourself with extensive editing.  It is OK to make mistakes.

Do not talk about your problems and challenges.  Unless this is  an introduction to share valuable
solutions or your success story.

3. Video location.  Choose somewhere that is “epic.”  By outdoors, mountain, hills, ocean, beach at pool side.  Avoid shooting in your bedroom (no bed); showing any clatter; bear wall or anything else you feel is inappropriate … if you want to convey professionalism.

Treat this like you are giving an important business presentation.
If you like you can wear a tie and a suit or business casual. How you dress depends on  what you want to convey  about your lifestyle.
4.  Video Length. Keep it short under 3 minutes if you are just sharing and talking.  If you are giving a webinar or a tutorial then upto one hour will be great for the purpose of prospecting and promoting.

5.  Content Style: Sharing a personal story, Mindset and inspirational quotes, Q&A for some frequently asked topics.

6.  Create an on-going series on the same topic as parts 1, 2, and 3.

  • Or cover related topics.
  • GOOGLE will find you better and you will more likely build your authority on the subject matter.

7.  No other gadgets like tripod or other devices necessary in the beginning.

  • Learn to depend on yourself to shoot the video.  If you depend on a  pose or your friend, your effort will be slowed down.

Bonus Tip:   Hold horizontally your smart phone, i-phone, Galaxy, Samsung or whatever you will use so that you will get a full screen on YouTube.

Lao Tzu (Chinese Philosopher and Founder of Taoism, 604BC -531 BC)

This is your journey to freedom and meaning.  Each step you take will be a  precious part of your journey.
