This article is a part of 10 condensed sessions on “How To Become A Top Producer.”

Whether it is a home based business, MLM, Network Marketing or Internet Marketing, or have a shop or an office outside of your home, there are 3 phases you should know.

So long as you have your own business.

Grinding Phase, First Phase:
{In this article, I will discuss only the first phase}

This is the beginning stage that is the hardest. Many entrepreneurs agree. Many people who have achieved hundreds of thousands and multiple millions of dollars agree that earning their first $10,000 or first $15,000 was very difficult. After that from $10,000 to $20,000 or to $30,000 is much easier.

It’s like something stuck in a drain pipe. You try to ply a snake in, use a plunger and shuffle. At first nothing goes and it’s just stuck and water is stagnating. But once there is a bit of opening up, all of a sudden water flushes and whatever was clogging up is gone. Your action will open up a passage.

Clogging and being stuck come from and mistakes beginners make in business. These are due to misconception and limiting beliefs. (will be discussed in Part 3)

Fix the 3 Common Mistakes:

[1] Many beginning entrepreneurs skip important beginning steps:

They are impatient. They follow their inexperienced mind.
They don’t follow mentors or leaders. Often entrepreneurs don’t have mentors or coaches readily available.
This is it’s so wonderful to have a system of network marketing or MLM with uplines and downlines.
But in our community, we do have leaders and mentors beginners can follow and many of them ignore their training and coaches.

[2] Beginning entrepreneurs have wrong ideas about their target market:

They discriminate and judge personalities and potentials of other people or prospect.

They think they have to filter out who is most likely to be successful and be great producers.
Judging based on the people’s current condition and situation like their profession or money they have available.

If you have done research, you would find out that so many successful entrepreneurs started when they had nothing in their wallet or to their name. They were broke and even homeless had a huge amount of debts, they had no idea how to pay back. Really poor, homeless and bankrupt. You cannot judge your prospect on the basis of how you are looking at people.

If you are only targeting the people have status and money now, your way of thinking may not work for you.

[3]Many beginners act like leaders:

They tend to do something they feel are easier to do and avoid being in front of other people.
They may go to another state to get in front of people.
They may even go to another country to go global.
They may start to set up a team website or try to lead a team.
Instead of putting effort in marketing and producing, many of them end up spending weeks struggling with technology issues.
