Learn and Use the Serenity Tools to Your Internet Marketing Business!
Serenity Is About Minding Your Own Business:
I this is our Day #4 of redefining a meaning of serenity. It is really important to understand that we have the ability and power to create serenity. We don’t have to wait passively till we somehow get into a state of peace and calmness. We are building a big tool box of serenity to store many tools to unleash the power of serenity in life. The big tool box of serenity we can carry around with us.
Today we are continuing to work from the Serenity page (page 360) in “Hope for Today.”
Today’s selection is “Minding Your Own Business.” This will be Internet Marketer’s guide. We will apply the steps we learn here to your Internet Marketing business. Really you have to mind your own BUSINESS!
Two Types of Busybodies:
1] Extrovert:
Extrovert busybodies confront others with the issues face to face, on the phone or writing and complain constantly, or give an unsolicited advice. Usually these extrovert Busybodies generate ill feelings, resentment, and fights. People simply avoid the EB (Extrovert Busybodies) and they are not at all influential.
2] Introvert Busybodies:
Introvert busybodies don’t express their feelings or opinions but really are quite preoccupied about how others do things. Cooking, cleaning and doing chores, gardening, office work… Introvert busybodies are really busy worried about, or annoyed or even angry at others. Introverts are always annoyed and irritated at how others do things.
Methods of Untangling in 5 Steps:
These are really unpleasant feelings to have to constantly be angry, annoyed or worried about what and how others do things. These feelings rob busy bodies of their serenity. Feelings of Anxiety and physical symptoms of stress build up.
There are 5 steps to get out of these Busybody Syndromes.
1] Are you sweating small stuff?
Ask yourself this question. Richard Carlson’s Book :”Don’t Seat the Small Stuff” was published in 1996 and became an instant best seller. People relate to this. Don’t you? Identify the things you know you shouldn’t sweat. First stop being an extrovert, move into being an introvert a little at a time as you discover more and more of the small stuff you are sweating. Then begin to use other serenity tool to let go of these small stuff form your mind. It takes practice.
2] Can you come to a peaceful resolution?
Identify the core issue. Set a time and a place to discuss this issue with the person.
Is this person reasonable? Is this person open to discuss?
If you can meet, handle this like a business meeting. Stick to the issue. No character assassination
No explosions. See if you can come up with an alternative and agree on. Listen more than you talk.
3] Examine the situation:
Is the person aware? Struggling? Is this a case of an illness or learning challenges?
Can you practice the attitudes of patience, empathy and compassion?
4] Examine your mindset:
Do you feel you know and others don’t. You are right. Others are wrong. Things should be done your way. You feel you have the authority and right to force others to the way you want things to be done.
Do you believe you can be the “busy body” because you are the spouse, parent, teacher, coach, sister or brother and because you love them? What is your understanding of love?
5] Have you neglected something about you?
Are you focused on yourself?
Are you in pain about something?
Are you angry about something?
Examine what you really need to improve and ‘fix’ in your life?
Is it always about what other people do?
As Emerson said, what beauty are you trying to find to be happy and fill your life. It must come from you first.
