“The Invincible You” Is Within You

In the evening from the Jersey Shore:

Do you hear the birds chirping?  They are getting ready to go home and enjoy their evening.   Maybe they are calling each other. It’s really hard to know.  We don’t communicate with the birds that well.   Today I’d like to talk about the word “invincible.”  This word came up twice for me in the last few days. I like to let you know that “the Invincible You”  is already within you.

Georgia O’Keeffe: Invincible:

The first time was from an article in Time about Georgia O’Keeffe: Invincible.”  (by Ben Cosgrove dated Oct. 30, 2014)  Georgia O’Keeffe was an American painter, very well respected.  She passed away in 1984.  Recently her painting of one single flower was auctioned off for $44.4 million, at the highest price for a woman artist.   (Huffington Post, People, etc)

Albert Camus: an Invincible Summer:

I have many favorite quotes.  This one is in my list as well.  I came across it.  (Do you believe in synchronicity?) Albert Camus was a French philosopher who won a Nobel Prize in 1957.

In the middle of the winter, I finally learned that there was in me an invincible summer.

The meaning of Invincible:

Not to be defeated or overcome, too powerful to be defeated, not to be conquered. Or the state of being immune to taking any form of damage  (The Free Dictionary, Urban Dictionary)   Comic super Heroes are also known as “Invincible.”

The word “invincible” really has a special meaning.  In the middle of adversities, we find ourselves stronger and more powerful.  It is an opportunity for us to tap into who we really are.
You don’t find an invincible summer in the middle of the summer.

George O’Keeffe wasn’t known to be invincible when she was painting away a single flower like never done before her time.  “Why is she painting a single flower?”  That was unheard of then.  The value of her painting and the public appreciation of her work became more apparent as time went on. Posthumously she is the highest paid woman painter today!   If you are experiencing difficulties in life, you should know this. The difference between being an ordinary, average person and an extraordinary and spiritual person is …

We, extraordinary and spiritual people can take on our experiences negative ones, not so great ones, unexpected defeats as lessons for us to learn
  • and almost like adding fuel to the fire
  • we tap into who we really are
  • and strive to live our dreams.

Nothing happens right away as you want it.   Many people give up on their dreams and quit. When we realize that everything is a lesson to learn from in life, we can achieve that success. {When we realize this simple truth, nothing in life is devastating and difficult as you would have thought before.} I like to end with another quote from Albert Camus.

Accepting the absurdity of everything around us is one step, a necessary experience.  It should not become a dead end.  It arouses a revolt that can become fruitful.

You don’t have to be a super hero or a famous artist, writer, scientist or philosopher to be invincible. “The Invincible You” is already within you.
