What Successful People Know about Top 3 Mistakes that Kept the Secret Fan from a Life of Abundance

What Successful People Know about Top 3 Mistakes

that Kept the Secret Fan from a Life of Abundance

A Great Start:

The 2006 Film release of the Secret energized the arena of personal development and human potential movement and this industry was beginning to reach the pentacle.  People in the MLM business were buying up copies of DVD’s.  Many of them and  even their high school kids began to make vision boards.

Everywhere several people got together with a whole bunch of magazines.  They found pictures and cut and pasted the images representing  their dreams on vision boards.  A beautiful house with a pool, new cars, whatever they wanted…
relationships, weight loss, vacations… very nice, wonderful scenes.

Attracting their dreams, people were happy, hopeful and very optimistic.  In the movie, the young boy wanted a bike and his wish came true!

The Secret was Based on the 7 Laws of the Universe:

The author/the film director of The Secret was very influenced by “the Science of Getting Rich” by Wallace D. Wattles.

He  introduced the Seven Basic Laws of the Universe in this book as follows:

  • The Law of Cause and Effect: every action results in something equivalent to it.
  • The Law of Vibration: Every matter is always vibrating and nothing remains still.
  • The Law of Gender:  Like seeds everything has a period of germination before it forms.
  • The Law of Rhythm: Like ocean waves going in and out, there is a cycle.
  • The Law of Relativity:  Things have values in relation to a reference point.
  • The Law of Polarity: Everything has its opposite state.
  • The Law of Perpetual Transformation: Energy and matter go through changes of forms.

You may ask,  “Where are the Law of Attraction and the Law of Abundance?”  Generally the teachers of the Secret taught that the Law of Attraction was the sub-law of the Law of Vibration.   I do think that the Law of Attraction is the composite of all the Laws.  For our discussion purpose, we’ll keep this much lighter and simpler.

The little boy got his bike.  While the little boys and girls are under the care of their parents and supported by the parents, this particular Secret Fan was over  35 years old.  His parents were still living;
his father wasn’t playing a middle man between the 35 year old Secret Fan and his God.   Let’s say the man’s name was Bruce.  Bruce was out of work.  His father just helped him out and paid Bruce’s rent.
Bruce meditated, visualized for an hour every day and prayed for a great next job and was planning to get a brand new Honda Camry.

Who should have been in charge of Bruce’s finances?

  • Bruce’s father?
  • God?
  • Bruce?
  • Nobody?
  • the whole tribe?

#1 First Big Mistake!

In America in the 1830s, Ralph Waldo Emerson was encouraging his contemporaries to find their own styles of thoughts and express in writing.  American Transcendentalism was beginning to form.  The central belief was that each person could move beyond their physical senses and get deeper into spiritual experience.  They were to tap into free will and intuition.

“Shallow men believe in luck. Strong men believe in cause and effect.”
~Ralph Waldo Emerson ~ (1803-1882)

Ralph Waldo Emerson probably never imagined that our contemporary world added few more things to worry about for the society today.

The Secret Fan wasn’t exercising the Law of Attraction.  He was going through the motion but  just wanted to be lucky.

He still thought  and expected to get things he wanted like a dependent child.

#1 Mistake was that he had a big attachment.  It’s called “the mind of attachment.”

The Secret Fan Bruce had no communication with his father, or any plans or strategy.  He blindly believed in meditating and visualized somehow
the money will show up.

Most successful people have clear communication and express their intention.  They map out a plan.  They just don’t blindly wait for something to happen in their favor.

#2 Second Big Mistake!

Bruce Allmighty
Bruce Almighty  Snap Shot from Youtube.com

Have you ever heard someone carrying on a conversation with God?  If not for real, then in the movies?   In the movie, Bruce All Mighty starring Jimmy Carry and Morgan Freeman as God, God had an enormous file on Bruce.
In the movie Jim Carrey Bruce manipulated the power bestowed upon him.   In this movie Jim Carrey Bruce is an example of aggression  He has no deeper reason to communicate with God, other than his own ego gratification.

” A hero is no braver than an ordinary man, but he is brave five minutes longer.”
~Ralph Waldo Emerson~

Everything must be done with mindfulness, for  you to get a benefit from your activity.  If you went to work out at a gym, while you did lots of workout and kept watching the TV and read magazine articles, you will not get deeper benefits of physical exercises.  If you are multi-tasking and reading a textbook, your mind will not absorb the content.

When someone meditates and visualizes upon his dream, in this spiritual practice what he really should focus on are not the objects of his desire.  These materials are just symbols.   Rather they are meditating on their deeper “why’s.”    He communicates his deep faith and trust.  What the Universe grants you is the courage and wisdom for you to have a breakthrough to reach your goal.    This is the Law of Transmutation at work.

Most successful people understand that their purpose and they always focus on their “why’s.”  So even though they may wish material things, they know their deeper reasons.  In most cases, it’s never about their greed or ego that drive them to want more.

The #2 mistake was that the Secret Fan Bruce did not go extra mileage.  When he meditated and visualized he needed to have soul searching conversations with his god, tapping into intuition and the guidance.

#3 Big Mistakes of Missing Action Steps:

When someone just sit and meditate and does nothing else to change his circumstance, his life is stale.  It’s static.
He is divorced from life.

“Our greatest glory is not in never failing, but in rising up every time we fail.”
~Ralph Waldo Emerson~

When someone just sit and meditate and does nothing else to change his circumstance, his life is stale.  It’s static.
He is divorced from life.
There is no new innovation.  No trial and error.  There is no experimentation.
It is not possible to move anything without taking action.
It is not possible to have something happen without doing something planned or strategically.

# 3 Mistake was that the Secret Fan Bruce lacked action.
He was blindly following the procedure given to him.
Ultimately he became angry and blamed that the Secret was a scam.
Bruce isn’t the only one.    Many other fans got disillusioned.

Most successful people have created a big vision for themselves.  They take action.  When they fail, they try again.  In fact they are not discouraged or feel defeated.  Their vision carries them into action.
