How to Gain Self-Confidence: Prerequisite 0999

How to Gain Self-Confidence:
Prerequisite 0999

Don’t skip a prerequisite!

Do you remember your high school or college days?
I don’t mean bad and bitter memories.  Don’t go there!

Just  this one thing! You wanted to take a course but you were denied
because you hadn’t taken a prerequisite course.  That messed up your plans, didn’t it?  But in the final analysis, it often made sense to take this prerequisite.

People, when it comes to building their self-confidence, skip this prerequisite.

Here is what I discovered as I worked with and helped many people build self-confidence using Napoleon Hill’s self-confidence formula.  Hill’s Six step-formula facilitated people to succeed.

The step one of Hill’s Self-Confidence Formula involves knowing your Definite Purpose in life.  It is also called your big ‘Why.’

The major stumbling block for many people is finding their definite purpose in life.  It is very difficult for many people!    Only a smaller percentage of people gain so much out of a course on Napoleon Hill’s self-confidence formula.

People learn, think and process things differently:

There are four types of people and learning styles.  They all process things differently.  For the purpose of this discussion, I will go over two broad categories.  First type is Indirect.  The second is the Direct type.

The Direct Type:
The Direct people are pragmatic, result oriented and quick to respond with actions.  They see the numbers involved.  They get motivated to earn $1,000,000.  They quickly see that they need to wipe out their credit card debts.  They know this is THE TIME to get started.  The Direct people’s Definite purpose is something immediate and measurable and based on material gains.

The Indirect Type:

The Indirect people are feeling and touching people.  They do think very deeply like a life philosopher but not analytically.  They rely on their senses.  They are moved and inspired by their inner feelings and deeper emotions.  When they have been hurt in the past; experienced failures, or life put them down, they are really low in self-esteem and self confidence.  It is important for them to discover who they are. Their engine has been shut down.

Here is Prerequisite 0999 for the Indirect people:

On the First Column:
Spend some quite time and reflect on their character strength and positive achievements.

Select Five Positive character assets or strengths you have.  Or recall the time when you naturally felt good about yourself.  Before you got shut down.

On the Second Column:

Think of your weaknesses,  your behavior or thinking patterns you know you need to improve.
Write them down.   Select FIVE of your weaknesses.

Daily Exercises:

  • Everyday you work to diminish these weaknesses.  One at a time.
  • You will let one of your strength dominate and replace with one weakness.
  • Let go of the bad memories, let go of the feeling of guilt or shame.
  • Let go of the feeling of inadequacies.
  • Forgive the people who harmed you.
  • Forgive yourself for getting trapped.
  • Begin to honor and celebrate your strength and beauty.
  • Honor yourself and love yourself.

5 Things you can do to enhance Prerequisite 0999:

1]  Find affirmations that resonate with you.  Say them daily.

2]  Say a prayer as often as you like. Meditate even as short as 5 minutes a day.

3]  Surround yourself with positive people.  Be kind and loving to yourself and to others.

4]  Go for a walk, create a ritual of doing exercises,  or swim… always breathe deeply.

5]  Eat regularly and healthy.

Our mastermind  community of positive people used this simple strategy  as they overcame their fear and lack of self-confidence.
