Martin Luther King Jr.’s Faith, Courage And Love: Celebration Of His Life And Leadership with Faith Quotes

In our history, some men and women stood up and lived their lives fully for what they believed in.

We are honoring and celebrating Marin Luther King Jr.’s life and leadership.

In this blog, we will be discussing quotes on faith
by Martin Luther King Jr.,
Mahatma Gandhi,
Helen Keller,
Ralph Waldo Emerson
and Napoleon Hill.

When we study a group of  visionaries and influential leaders, we see common threads that unite their cause and spirit.

  1. Faith is taking the first step even when you can’t see the whole staircase. Faith is a living, daring confidence in God’s grace, so sure and certain that a man could stake his life on it a thousand times.

    Martin Luther King Jr.
    When there is no physical evidence of winning…fighting deeply rooted racism and inequality, Martin Luther King was ready and willing to fight for equality and freedom for his people. His unshakable faith came also from his confidence in God’s grace. His clarity, his vision and purpose all arose from this unbeatable faith.
  2. If patience is worth anything, it must endure to the end of time. And a living faith will last in the midst of the blackest storm. Faith is not something to grasp, it is a state to grow into.

    Mahatma Gandhi
    Gandhi’s struggle in India much earlier was a different kind. Or was it? The oppressors had such deep prejudice, disregard and intolerance of different people. Faith is almost like a living force that grows inside of one’s soul. As in Gandhi, Martin Luther King’s courage and faith grew with each moment of hardship and struggles.
  3. Faith is the strength by which a shattered world shall emerge into the light.

    Helen Keller

    Helen Keller born into an educated middle class family in the time of peace, her destiny was either to be buried in the darkness of silence, blind and deaf. It was very different from Martin Luther King’s or Gandhi’s struugles? Or was it?

    Her struggle for freedom of expression was the basic right Helen Keller fought for, as the black people fighting  against the White Supremacy or Indian people fighting for their independence from the imperialism of Great Britain. All of them began to see the light. Believed in this light from the start.

  4. God enters by a private door into every individual.

    Ralph Waldo Emerson
    When your faith is so deeply rooted;
    when you live based on your faith and continue to move forward to achieve what you are fighting for;
    you never doubt God’s way.Martin Luther King, Gandhi and Helen Keller were indefatigable. They were strong and inspirational leaders at the same time they knew that each person, each of their followers also was protected and guided by God.
  5. Faith is the ‘external elixir’ which gives life, power, and action to the impulse of thought. Faith is the basis of all miracles and all mysteries which cannot be analyzed by the rules of science. Faith is the only agency through which the cosmic force of Infinite Intelligence can be harnessed and used by humanity.

    Napoleon Hill

    Hill, as the result of his interview of 500 most successful people and research of 25000 people over twenty years, concluded that faith is a state of mind which may be ‘induced.’

    Strong leaders and visionaries have always shown courage, faith and deep love for his people. That was how they touched and inspired millions of people to change their lives.

Whether you have a major struggle, or experiencing what you think is more of a personal problem, one can only change his/her situation by cultivating courage, faith and love for others.

The world is not as peaceful as it may appear, and just about every person is fighting against some forces that we all share. Many people do not have an abundance of love, resources or money in their lives. Napoleon Hill has laid out the Principles for Success.
