How to Maintain A Balance: Not Too Much or Too Little

Maintaining a Balance in Your Life and Business

How do you maintain a balance?   It is not too easy to do.  You usually do too much or too little.
Don’t you experience that?

Let’s say in business.  This applies, too.  I’ve just talked about content marketing.

When many people when they first start to do business online, promoting their products, they spam.  They talk about their products a lot and put their sales links in their posts all the time.  They bring their company in the forefront of their discussion.  This is called spamming and even scamming all the time.

Then you begin to learn about content marketing.  You are told it is important to provide value.   Then you start to give all kinds of training and free reports.  Then you give your information and free training too much.   Your people don’t appreciate your information or you.

If you haven’t given too much of free stuff, I can save you lots of trouble.

The purpose of content marketing is to give value just enough to arouse your prospects’ curiosity.
If you do too much, the people will not come to purchase from you.    After all this is your business.  In order for you to survive and do anything, you must sell.  The purpose of your business is to provide value to your customer by selling the products they need.

The beginning marketers should not be afraid to do “call to action.”   The beginning marketers do get so frightened to sell.  They feel it’s too much to ask the customers to buy.   But if you are doing business, you must sell.

This conflict of too much and too little is so common, happens all the time.

In your personal life, loving too much.

“I’m doing so much for that person. “  This situation of feeling unappreciated or taken advantage of happen all the time.

The Middle Way:

“Buddha taught the Middle Path. Knowing when and what is too much and too little leads to your success and happiness.”

    ~Yukiko Iino

Buddha taught the Middle Way or Middle Path.

Not doing too much.  Not doing too little.
Where does this begin?  Where is a solution?

Steps to Solve Too Much or Too Little Syndrome:

Here are some ways you can solve this conflict.

[1] Doing and experimenting.  Knowing that you must balance how much to do and how much not to do.
So you don’t get too crazy doing too much or doing too little.

[2] Follow someone who is more experienced than you are in that area of your endeavors.   Following someone who is more experienced than you are definitely will help you to maintain a balance.

Buddha said the Middle Way.  People tend to be extreme and overcompensate.
You made a mistake in the past.  Now you bend backward to make up for that mistake.

You were too stern and too severe.  Now you act too lenient.

You did too little in the past so now you want to do too much.

We fluctuate from one end of extreme to the other end of extreme.

So the most important thing is to maintain a balance and not to do anything extreme.

[3] Think calm.

[4] Come from your heart.

[5]Notice your patterns.

Sometimes people try to please too much and not take care of themselves.

Always ask yourself this;

  • “Do I take care of myself?”
  • “Am I kind to myself.?”
  • “Am I kind to others?”
  • Always balance your needs with other’s need.

So do not over compensate.
Not to do too much or too little.
In your personal life and in your business life.

It is important to begin to become aware of your behavior patterns and tendencies.
If you are often feeling like

  • a victim and taken advantage of
  • angry
  • resentful
  • guilty for not doing enough

you need to start to work on yourself on your personal and spiritual development.

[6] Building the mindset and spiritual foundation.

Do you meditate?  There are many local meditation groups.  You may want to check out some of them.

My idea of a balanced life has always emphasized to include  the financial  and time freedom in your personal and business life.
