Basics Needed for Getting Breakthroughs and Success:
Anthony Robbins is one of the most respected motivational speakers, teachers, coaches and philosophers today and quoting him just out of one of his blog article on breakthroughs and success, will not do justice to his amazing wealth of knowledge and wisdom.
I’d like to use these 3 S’s described in Anthony Robbins’s Blog as a starting point: State, Story and Strategy.
Then I’d like to add two more S’s: Source and System.
These are Universal Principles to achieve success by having a breakthrough from your existing situation.
1] Strategy:
A strategy is a plan of actions, an organized set of maneuvers to win or to achieve targeted results. This word probably was mostly applied to wars, battles and military combat situations at first.
Gradually began to be used in business development and management. Mostly recently to people’s daily lives.
My favorite quote on this word is:
“Worrying is not a strategy for me.”
No person succeeds without a plan or set of plans. He has to have a strategy.
No projects can be accomplished without great strategies.
No business becomes profitable without strategic plans.
Based on Statisticbrain.com research conducted in2014, 25% of small businesses failed after one year and 55% after 5 years.

2] Story:
Everyone has a story that he tells about himself. An organization or an institution or even a nation has its own agreed story that everyone buys into.
There are great strategies available, published in books, taught in seminars and coached by consultants. Anthony Robbins calls it a disempowering story. People or businesses fail because the have negative images and stories about themselves.
In the table listed from Statsticbrain.com are the reasons found for mistakes or failures:
- Emotional Pricing
- Going into business for the wrong reasons
- Advice from family and friends
- Pride
- Lack of clear focus
People and businesses fail because they don’t have decisive clear understanding of who they are, what they want and why they are really trying to accomplish being in their business.
When people fail, they lack a definite purpose and a vision.
Many successful people overcome struggles and hardship to succeed because they have empowering stories.
3] Mental and Emotional State:
Anthony Robbins talks about conditioning your physiology, which gives an example of relieving stress by breathing and exercise.
- To focus on positive mindset, humorous stories, great anecdote to bring your awareness to your full potential.
- Then, he talks about learning to put yourself to a peak state consistently.
- This is an actual training of the body and mind.
4] The Source:
People cannot just rely on themselves alone to make changes on their mental and emotional states.
- They need help.
- They need other people who are trained.
- But not family and friends necessarily. (Actually unless you have a quite uniquely enlightened family and friends, don’t take their advice and don’t listen to their opinions.)
- They need an association of a mastermind group, a group of like-minded people.
- They may need trainers, coaches and attend seminars.
- Become students of personal development courses.
- They may want to attend discussion groups.
- They may want to belong to some types of support groups.
Napoleon Hill’s Source is the Infinite Intelligence in his Success Principles.
- The Universal Principles.
- Although not explicitly stated in his Success Principles, these spiritual practices are considered to be the source of stabilizing one’s mental and emotional state.
- Prayers and meditation
- Other forms of Spiritual practices
- many healing arts
- Tapping into your inner-self, your body wisdom, your super consciousness,
- Buddha nature,
- Christ Within… (whatever you decide to label this spiritual aspect of yourself)
- Some people call these the Origin or the Genesis…
5] System:
For this blog, for the time being, I define a system as a set of interacting and interdependent components forming an integrated whole for a common purpose. (one definition seen in most dictionaries) These are devices and methods that are designed by a professional or a group of experts after going through trials and tribulations.
There are many examples of such a system. The one great example is Internet and marketing tools.
A simple system may be is a website setup to sell products, with marketing funnels and Email campaigns all integrated.
Most likely businesses with such an Internet Marketing System will be much more profitable than an old store front model.
Why is it that so many spiritually developed, mature and wonderful people are still struggling financially?
Not all of them think money is evil or they don’t dislike rich people. They don’t have such self-limiting beliefs as “They don’t deserve to have an abundant life.”
Going into the Internet Revolution Era, entrepreneurs and businesses must embrace such a system to succeed.
