5 Key Effective Time Management Skills Part 2: Macro Management

What is Macro Management?

Today I would like to talk about Macro Management.  Another kind of activity management.   We talked about effective time management (Part 1) that requires activity management.   Macro management of activity management allows you manage yourself not only just today but into the future.    For the next 5 years. Macro Management.

Difference Between Macro and Micro Vision:

Isn’t it true that every day you end up doing something.  You are busy.  You don’t know what happened or what you did.  A week later you can’t remember how time passed.  Well, you lack a macro vision and understanding.

That is the difference between people who have their purpose and vision set and they move toward their purpose and vision every day.  But they are moved by a stream of consciousness.  The energy flows from you macro ideas of managing your life (which translate into time).  As opposed to a micro vision,
which is a small vision.

Macro management With Macro Vision:

How do you move into a macro vision and live your life under macro management?  You must have your goal set for the next 90 days, next 6 months, next year and 5 years ahead.  Project into the future.
Into the 10 years.

In order to have a macro vision, and exercise macro management, you cannot do it alone.    That’s where the Mastermind comes in.   Strategizing, organizing and planning are essential in macro management.    That is the only way you can move from here to there…

Life Cycle is Defined by How You Manage Your Time with A Clear Vision:

Projecting 5 years ahead.  10 years ahead.  20 years ahead.   So by the time you are much older, you kind of have to retire.  Physically not capable.  Or you want to take it easy.    You can have a lifestyle that does not require for you to work so hard.

Or do you want to live your life working so hard, long hours all your lone some?  By the time you are 50 or 60;  you have no friend; no colleagues; no group of people you can relate to.

Mastermind is very important.

Create your vision.

Know your why’s.

Connect with like-minded people as you.

Every single day micro-manage your daily activities leading to a macro activities and a big vision.

Connecting with many people.

5 people or 10 people who can go with you and help you fulfill your dreams.

Managing time with a big vision is a way to plan a long term.  Most successful people choose plans to make their finances work for them.  Finacial planning and prosperity are integral part of a macro vision.
