12 Daily Things Successful Leaders Do
Mind, word and action are the three jewels of wisdom. Success comes from the integration of mind, word and action. In doing all these 12 things daily, you will integrate these three vital elements. Often many people misunderstand. They think just because they have their pictures on their vision boards, they will achieve what they want. Just because they set a goal and work on it hard, they may not achieve that and give it up after a while. I explained the full process in one of my earlier blog postings. “Success Begins with Self Acceptance, Setting a Definite Purpose and Goal.”
There are basic 12 things successful leaders do. In any spiritual practice, a repetition of recitation and actions is paramount. Beginners can choose just 7 and gradually increase to all 12. By doing all these 12 things, you become the Practitioner of a healthy and abundant life style.
For centuries many spiritual practitioners repeated the same practice every day for many years and didn’t get “awakening” even after twenty years. Every day start with the beginner’s mind. Do not do these as just an automatic routine mindlessly.
1. Say an affirmation or prayer out loud: Say OUT LOUD at least SEVEN times first thing in the morning, before going to bed and anytime you catch yourself worrying, say them out loud. Worrying doesn’t change the past and doesn’t control the future. Worrying is not a strategy. Neither blaming others or your situation is an effective strategy.
2. Set a few mini goals for each day that are parts of a larger plan: You just have to do a little more, and go a little further, get a little closer. Don’t quit.
3. Laugh at the ‘comedy of errors’ in your situation and mistakes you have made. Don’t take yourself seriously.
4. Go for a walk for 5, 10, 30 minutes daily. Move around every 10 minutes, doing gentle stretching and twisting exercises.
5. Drink purified or mineralized high quality water. Then coffee or tea in the morning. No more than two mugs of coffee or tea.
6. Have a nutritional breakfast. No sugar coated pastries, Duncan Donuts or French croissant.
7. Relax for a few minutes every hour and get enough sleep.
8. Make a list of 5 strengths you have. Every time you want to beat yourself up, recite them out loud to yourself.
9. Have a logical target when you are spending time on social media and set a time limit.
10. Know your core values and do not listen to others’ opinions. Know that opinions are cheap and useless.
11. Get help and support from someone experienced in the area relevant to your pursuit.
12. Find a group of like-minded people to share your deeper feelings and aspirations.
If you do all these 12 steps daily with anticipation and excitement as if they are the treasured tools gifted to you, you will begin to feel, think and act like a successful leader. You are using the three jewels of wisdom effectively. You will develop a healthy and balanced lifestyle that many successful leaders enjoy. Your success is guaranteed.
